Three special days celebrate the wine that carries Montefiascone’s name: history, landscape and new perspectives come together at the Rocca dei Papi.

A designation and its community
Est! Est!! Est!!! di Montefiascone was officially recognised as a DOC in 1966. Sixty years later, the Wine Fair celebrates its history with producers, specialists, sommeliers and visitors. The anniversary is not only a commemoration, but an opportunity to consider the future of the designation.
8 August
At the Rocca dei Papi, Poste Italiane offers a special commemorative postmark from 3:00 to 8:00 pm. At 6:30 pm, the official anniversary programme opens with talks and tastings curated by Carlo Zucchetti.
9 August
At 7:30 pm, sommelier Alessandro Scorzone leads a tasting dedicated to the DOC and its expressions. Booking details and capacity have not yet been included in the available programme.
10 August
From 9:30 pm, wine meets astronomy, art and music at the Rocca dei Papi, with architectural lighting, sky observation, museum visits and guided tastings.
